Ellen Page recently announced being transgender and non-binary, and the actor's new name, Elliot Page, can be seen next to his movie credits, according to IMDB.

Page, whose net worth is around $12 million, has starred in several blockbuster films, including “Juno,” “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” and “Into the Forest.” He currently portrays the character of Vanya Hargreeves, a cisgender woman, in the popular Netflix series “The Umbrella Academy.”

Netflix's decision to change Page's name in the credits speaks volumes on the broadening stance of Hollywood regarding LGBT issues. But now that he has come out as transgender, fans have called to change the gender of his character on the “The Umbrella Academy,” a report in Variety revealed.

Nick Adams, GLAAD' s director of programs for Transgender Media, has been adamant that no change in the gender of Page's character is necessary. “Trans actors can and do play both trans and cisgender characters,” he said in a statement.

Page married longtime partner Emma Portner in 2018. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Page paid $1.7 million for the house he owned in Nichols Canyon in Hollywood Hills, and sold it for $2.1 million.
