Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund have parted ways after nearly three years of dating, a report says.

Roberts, 30, and Hedlund, 37, split a few weeks ago, following a rocky few months in their relationship, People reported, citing multiple sources.

"It's sad, and they are trying their best to co-parent. It's been hard," an anonymous insider said.

Roberts and Hedlund did not immediately respond to requests for comment, according to the outlet.

News of their breakup comes after they celebrated their son Rhodes Roberts' first birthday last month with a rodeo-themed party. The "Nerve" star shared a series of posts from the event on Instagram.

"Happy birthday rodeo! Frosting in my hair and @thebeatbuds stuck in my head. Loved every second of it. I love you, Rhodes," she captioned one post.

Hedlund and Roberts started dating in March 2019, and they welcomed their son in December 2020.

After welcoming Rhodes, Hedlund reportedly "totally stepped up" to support the new mom.

"Having a newborn in the pandemic has been a lot harder than either of them expected, but they're really, really trying their best to figure things out," an unnamed source told People at the time. "Garrett totally stepped it up after Emma was still recovering after giving birth. He made sure that their house was stocked with things that Emma liked and needed, so she felt comfortable. She's just starting to get back into a more 'normal' routine."

Roberts announced her pregnancy in August 2020 by sharing snaps of her cradling her baby bump on Instagram. "Me...and my two favorite guys," she wrote in the caption.

When she appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" two months later, she explained that her pregnancy announcement was untimely and that she blamed her mom for it.

"I was keeping my pregnancy pretty low-key, but unfortunately, my mother has Instagram. Mothers and Instagram, it's a bad combination," she told the host. "She spilled the beans."

The "American Horror Story" star explained that her mom doesn't own a computer and was still using a flip phone until about 2017. She gave her mom an iPhone on Mother's Day so they could FaceTime and iMessage.

"It was such a lovefest and it was the worst thing I ever did," Roberts jokingly said.

Roberts was previously engaged to Evan Peters, whom she dated from 2012 to 2019. Hedlund was briefly engaged to Kirsten Dunst, whom he was with from 2012 to 2016.
