With successful movies like “Little Women,” “Harry Potter,” and” Beauty and the Beast,” Emma Watson has achieved global stardom. The actress, who is also a model and activist will celebrate her 30th birthday on April 15.

However, Watson doesn’t spend all of her time in the spotlight. When she isn’t hitting red carpets or filming her latest flick, the actress prefers to stay under the radar with her personal life, more specifically her love life.

Fans are often left wondering whether Watson has a boyfriend due to the actress’ desire to protect her privacy as well as her partner’s. As the “Noah” actress gears up to celebrate another birthday, it is unclear whether she is currently in a relationship.

In October 2019, Watson was photographed kissing a mystery man after the two grabbed lunch in London. Since then, Watson hasn’t been spotted with gentle or given any clues to suggest she was dating someone.

Meanwhile, during a November 2019 interview with Vogue UK, Watson admitted she was a bit worried about turning 30 years old because she “had all these ideas” about how her life was supposed to be by the time she celebrated the milestone birthday.

“I was like, ‘Why does everyone make such a big fuss about turning 30? This is not a big deal…’ Cut to 29, and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I feel so stressed and anxious. And I realize it’s because there is suddenly this bloody influx of subliminal messaging around,” she explained.

“If you have not built a home, if you do not have a husband, if you do not have a baby, and you are turning 30, and you’re not in some incredibly secure, stable place in your career, or you’re still figuring things out… There’s just this incredible amount of anxiety.”

However, Emma insisted she wouldn’t allow her relationship status to define her. “I never believed the whole ‘I’m happy single’ spiel. I was like, ‘This is totally spiel.’ It took me a long time, but I’m very happy [being single]. I call it being self-partnered,” she shared

Last month, Watson clarified her “self-partnered” statement while having a conversation with author Valerie Hudson for Teen Vogue. “It was more that I needed to create a definition for something that I didn’t feel there was language for,” she confessed.

“It was really interesting because it really riled some people up. It was less for me about the word but more about what it meant — just this idea that we need to reclaim language and space in order to express ourselves because sometimes it’s really not there.”

For now, it appears Watson is comfortable and content with her “self-partnered” status.
