Lucious Lyon proved he's still the king in the Season 2 premiere of "Empire" by flexing his muscle both inside the jail and outside of prison by maintaining control of his record label. He'll now create a brand new song behind bars on episode 2, titled "Without A Country," while the rest of the family continues to fight over power.

The synopsis for episode 2 reveals that after the hostile takeover failed, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) will now try to start up a record label of her own. She will be joined by her crew of Anika (Grace Gealey), Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray), and Andre (Trai Byers), but they will have opposing visions of the direction the label should go in, which could create a rocky beginning.

Prison guards will be ready to roll out in episode 2, as Chris "Ludacris" Bridges guest stars as a corrections officer named Officer McKnight. As Lucious records a new track in jail, it's unclear if Officer McKnight will be a fan of the famous inmate. Lucious will also get a new lawyer in episode 2, and based on the promo it looks like this lawyer will eventually get him out of prison.

The Lyon brothers will also be very busy in "Without A Country." Hakeem wants to form a girl group and he will do his best to woo a good looking Latina singer to join it. Meanwhile, Jamal (Jussie Smollett) remained in control of Empire following episode 1 thanks to Lucious working out a deal with Mimi (Marisa Tomei). Cookie told him that he's starting to turn into Lucious, which could be true as he's expected to be ruthless when making business decisions for the company.

In the promo video following the Season 2 premiere, Lucious was shown back in the world and in control of Empire. However, he will have a prosecutor hot on his tail, along with the FBI, as he tries to make Empire bigger than it has ever been before. The Lyon's continue to roar with one another, especially Cookie and Lucious. Lucious says the family can't eat without him and Cookie says "I'm always gonna eat, just not with you," as she rips an entire dinner off the table and onto the floor.
