Eric Bolling and his wife, Adrienne, celebrated Thanksgiving for the first time on Thursday, without their 19-year-old son, Eric Chase.

Eric Chase was found dead is his apartment in Boulder, Colorado on Sept. 8 due to drug overdose. On his Twitter account, Bolling expressed his gratitude to his followers, family and friends for their love and support for the past two months. He also called this year’s event an emotional one.

Last month, the former Fox News host revealed the finding of the Coroner via a toxicology report and confirmed that his son died due to an accidental overdose that included the deadly opioid fentanyl, a mix of cocaine and Xanax.

Following the teen’s death, reports swirled that Eric Chase was under “emotional torture” due to his dad’s sexting scandal. Bolling was suspended from Fox News after he was accused of sending photos of his genitals to female co-workers. Days later, Eric Chase passed away.

Meanwhile, Eric Chase’s friend, Wayne Carter, spoke with the Daily Mail following the shocking death. Carter, 21, claimed that Eric Chase consumed drugs at a party the night before he died. In the past, Carter revealed that he has also seen Eric Chase take heroin.

“He was very into his dad and looked up to his dad a lot. I’m not saying his life choices revolved around his dad but his dad was a huge role model in his life. You’d go to a party and he was a cool guy but he’d be like, ‘Oh guys, do you know who my dad is?’ And we’d be like, ‘Yes Eric, we know who your dad is!” Carter said.

Carter also slammed the reports suggesting that Eric Chase committed suicide. “I’ll put it like this – he was a partier. I don’t think he would have intentionally done it. But I definitely think he upped it once when he heard that news and that’s what caused his demise,” he said.
