Erica Mena, the former star of VH1's "Love & Hip Hop: New York," revealed heartbreaking news on Instagram earlier this week. The 27-year-old model and TV personality, who's engaged to rapper Shad "Bow Wow" Moss, told fans she suffered a miscarriage while she was four months pregnant.

According to The Shade Room, Mena posted and deleted a photo of herself with a poem written in the caption hinting that she had lost the baby. Mena and Moss, who each have a child from previous relationships, had not publicly announced they were expecting a baby together.

The poem read: “So quickly you came into my life, so quickly torn away. Never got the chance to meet you. There’s so much I want to say. Where there once was joy and happiness, is now sadness, guilt and pain. All these thoughts running through my head, it’s enough to drive me insane. Though you lived in me only 4 months, you were loved so very much. I wish that I could hold you, I long to feel your touch. On that day, my world was ripped from under my feet. I pray that in another life, we get the chance to meet again.”

Even though Mena took down the poem, she did share another Instagram post on Thursday telling her fans that she and her fiancé were doing good. “I’m open about it. I know I’m not the only one. Speaking my mind has always helped me deal & heal. So I’m NEVER Ashamed.” She added, "God is Good. See we already past all that. It just so happened LIFE happened & something told me Speak On It! Someone else needs this right now."

In March, following the "Love & Hip Hop: New York" Season 5 finale, Mena announced she was quitting the reality show so she could focus on her relationship with Moss. "Four years ago became #MenaMonday. I let the world in and it’s been a crazy ride since," Mena wrote at the time. "This chapter has ended but the real deal is the journey has just begun. Tonight is indeed my last show. Good luck to everyone. Wish you all the best.”
