Gucci and The North Face are teaming up for a collaboration that is expected to celebrate the outdoors.

Gucci released two video teasers on Twitter and Instagram this week revealing their partnership. In one video, a camera pans a mountain range to a flag with both the Gucci and The North Face logo on it. In the second video, the flag is posted on the top of a tent.

While little is known about what the two fashion companies have planned from their joint collection, Gucci and The North Face are anticipated to collaborate on a line of outdoor wear based on the videos presented. The North Face’s current apparel lineup includes a slew of outdoor jackets, coats, and accessories.

Gucci told WWD that they “confirm that they will be bringing a collaboration to life in the coming months that celebrates the rich heritage of both brands.”

The North Face, which is known for its outdoorsy label, has joined forces with other companies in the past, including Supreme for a spring 2020 collection. It also recently partnered up with MM6 Maison Margiela for a collection that was shown at London Fashion Week in February, WWD said.

For Gucci, this marks its first partnership for a collection under creative director Alessandro Michele’s five-year history with the fashion house, Harper’s Bazaar reported. Michele has, however, collaborated with Liberty and Ken Scott, but has yet to introduce a full collection with another brand.

Michele has taken Gucci in a new direction, bowing out of the Milan Fashion Week as he looks to make his collections more meaningful. He told WWD that he wants to “bring oxygen” to his creativity.
