Multiple people were injured following an explosion at a General Motors Corp. (NYSE:GM) stamping plant in Marion, Indiana, according to WishTV.

Police evacuated the plant after the blast, but a reporter on the scene noted there was no visible smoke or fire. According to Rafael Sanchez, RTV-7 reporter, several people were being treated outside of the GM plant and at least two people were taken to a hospital in ambulances.

The plant is responsible for blanks, stamping and sheet metal assembly for vehicles, WishTV reported.
