Every time a "Fast & Furious" movie comes, the filmmakers set the bar higher and higher. With movie number nine in the franchise on the horizon, this apparently hasn't stopped.

At the premiere of his new movie "Bloodshot," cast member Vin Diesel could not keep a lid on his excitement when ET asked what star he would like to see in the next installment of the saga.

"I can't tell anyone," Diesel said as he burst into laughter, adding that there is a "big surprise" coming.

"[But] it is so awesome! It's a testament to the franchise, it's a testament to all the work that everyone has done and it's a testament to the integrity," he added. "As a thespian, as someone who started acting when I was 7 years old, it's wonderful to dance with other acclaimed thespians and try to make magic."

The "Fast & Furious 9," or just "F9," cast already boasts a ridiculously star-studded cast, starting with the core crew of the films -- Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, and Jordana Brewster, some who were a part of series from day one.

Since then A-listers like Jason Statham, Kurt Russell, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Charlize Theron and Djimon Gaston Hounsou have joined on -- and the list just keeps on growing with "F9".

For the ninth installment of "Fast & Furious," filmmakers managed to bring back Oscar winner Helen Mirren and add female rapping sensation Cardi B and former WWE star turned actor John Cena, all of whom would be a surprise for audiences on their own. So, whatever the potential surprise Diesel was teasing actually is has got to be a good one.

"F9" will see Dominic Toretto (Diesel) and his crew join forces to battle the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver they've ever encountered -- his forsaken brother (Cena).

"F9" hits theaters on May 22.
