  • The actor also wished best of luck to all the actors of the movie series
  • “F9” is scheduled to hit theaters on May 22, 2020

A few days ago, various reports were doing rounds claiming that Ben Still is all set to join the “Fast And Furious” franchise and will be seen making a cameo in the ninth film of the highly successful movie series. The comedian has finally broken his silence on the matter and revealed that he has not been approached to star in the upcoming feature film.

Taking it to Twitter, the 54-year-old actor confirmed that the news of him being part of the action series is just a rumor and is exaggerated by a certain section. The star also wished all the actors of the franchise best of luck for the upcoming movies.

“Reports of my Fast and Furiousness are greatly exaggerated. Meaning not at all true, sadly. Though I wish them well with the franchise. Fingers crossed it takes off. #FastAndFurious #PageSixIsAmazing,” Stiller said.

The actor also put a hashtag “Page Six Is Amazing” along with his tweet because Page Six was the first media outlet to report that the “Secret Life Of Walter Mitty” star will be making an appearance in “Fast And Furious 9.”

In January, all the main actors, including the newcomer to the franchise John Cena, got their respective character posters released on the official Facebook page of the franchise. Each character can be seen standing in front of their respective vehicles with different colored smoke fuming in the background. Dominic (Vin Diesel) gets a gray colored car with gray smoke in the background. Roman (Tyrese Gibson) is seen driving a jeep, and Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez) gets a bike.

The upcoming film is expected to give the female characters more importance after Rodriguez slammed the franchise for not focusing on the women. The trailer of the movie was met with amazing response and fans believe that the movie is going to be another worthy addition to the franchise.

The other cast members of the film are Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Lucas Black, and Martyn Ford.

Directed by Justin Lin, the ninth film in the franchise entitled “F9” is scheduled to hit theaters on May 22, 2020.
