Former “Fashion Police” star Kelly Osbourne has finally broken her silence about recently parting ways with the show. In her first interview since abruptly exiting the popular E series, she opened up about her decision to leave during an appearance on CBS’ “The Talk” Tuesday.

Osbourne, 30, announced she was exiting “Fashion Police” at the end of February after some off-screen drama involving co-host Giuliana Rancic. The trouble erupted after Rancic commented about pop singer Zendaya’s look on the 2015 Oscars red carpet: Rancic mentioned that her dreadlocks looked like they might smell of “weed.”

Soon afterward, Osbourne took to her Twitter account to denounce her co-host’s comments and warn that she is “seriously questioning staying on the show”:

And, just like that, the minds behind the E series were forced to find a replacement for their second cast member in less than a year. In September, the former “Fashion Police” headliner, Joan Rivers, died. Kathy Griffin was able to take her place, but now the network must find someone to fill the newly vacant seat. Recent reports indicate E is seriously considering promoting from within by adding “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star Khloe Kardashian to the force.

With Osbourne out, many were hoping she’d dish all the dirt surrounding her exit. Unfortunately, she was relatively restrained in speaking about her time on “Fashion Police,” possibly because her mother Sharon Osbourne, co-host of “The Talk,” was sitting right next to her during her talk-show appearance Tuesday.

“You know what, it was the five best working years of my life,” Kelly Osbourne said in the video below (via the Daily Mail). “I am so grateful for the experience ... Working with Joan Rivers for five years ... was incredible.”

If Osbourne has plans for her future, she’s keeping tight-lipped about them. When asked what she’s planning to do next, she replied by keeping things vague, saying only that she was excited about the future and trying out some new things.

Despite the recent “Fashion Police” hiatus after the death of Rivers, E has confirmed Osbourne’s exit will not affect the show’s return date of Monday, March 30.
