Fear the Walking Dead” Season 2 brought a lot of action last week as it saw the crew of the Abigail discover what happens when they try to take on more survivors, as well as offering a little more insight into their unofficial captain. In episode 4 of the AMC drama, titled “Blood in the Streets,” that will continue as they deal with pushier survivors and a more enigmatic Victor Strand.

The character, played by Colman Domingo, has been nothing but a mystery since his introduction at the end of Season 1. It was revealed in episode 3 that he plans to take the survivors to a self-sustaining compound in Mexico, that’s apparently got a very exclusive guest list — assuming it exists at all, of course. Despite no one asking him more questions about this very elaborate-sounding safe haven, it seems fans will figure out a lot more in the upcoming episode.

According to the official plot synopsis, when Nick (Frank Dillane) gets word of an associate of Strand’s they will split off from the rest of the group on separate missions as more of the character’s past is revealed. It’s unclear what exactly Nick’s role in all this will be, but the below teaser clip from next week’s episode indicates that he’ll make his way back to land, and subsequently civilization. With a make-shift wall in place along the coast and a fleet of ships and helicopters patrolling the area, it seems there’s far more of a militarized presence left in the world than previously thought.

Meanwhile, the remaining survivors aboard the Abigail will have to encounter survivors that are, for the first time in their journey, unavoidable. In last week’s episode, the group encountered Charlie (Michelle Ang) and Jake (Brendan Meyer) from “Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462.” However, [SPOILER ALERT] they discovered that Strand’s destination barely has room for Madison (Kim Dickens) and her family, let alone two strangers. After mercilessly cutting them loose, it seems this week Abigail will be boarded by another group, with less-than-noble intentions.

Both of these storylines are teased heavily in the episode’s teaser trailer, which seems to indicate that the people they let on board the yacht have plans to take it from them. Not only does the group appear to be compiling their weapons and ammo together, but Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie) and Travis (Cliff Curtis) find themselves tied up on deck trying to get convince their would-be executors not to execute them.

With Strand’s grand plan becoming clearer and clearer and the rest of the group learning the hard way that the cannot save everyone, it seems everything that “Fear the Walking Dead” Season 2 has been building toward will come to a head on Sunday, May 1, at 9 p.m. EDT.
