The victim reported to authorities on Sept. 15 that a man approached her while she was walking her dog near the 900 block of West Sugar Creek Road, Charlotte Observer reported, citing Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

The girl received medical attention at a local hospital, and evidence was collected, according to authorities.
