A 22-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and raping a 14-year-old girl while she was out walking her dog in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Tyquan Osborne, a convicted felon on probation, was charged by detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department for his alleged involvement in the sexual assault, WBTV reported.

The victim reported to authorities on Sept. 15 that a man approached her while she was walking her dog near the 900 block of West Sugar Creek Road, Charlotte Observer reported, citing Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

The man had a casual conversation with the 14-year-old before allegedly physically forcing her into a car. He then allegedly took her to another location, where he sexually assaulted her, police said.

The girl received medical attention at a local hospital, and evidence was collected, according to authorities.
