Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson will heat up the big screen next month when the sophomore installment to the “Fifty Shades” franchise premieres in theaters, but the actors want fans to know their romance is strictly on-screen.

Both “Fifty Shades Darker” actors recently addressed rumors they took their Christian Grey-Ana Steele relationship off-camera in separate interviews.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan in their February issue, Dornan, who has been married to wife Amelia Warner since 2013, said the dating rumors fans here are usually false. “About 80 percent of the people I’m said to have dated, I haven’t,” he told the magazine.

But if you believed the gossip, don’t feel bad! Dornan says his friends also fall victim to the hype.

“It’s amazing... Once a friend said, ‘I read that you dated Kate Moss.’ I was like, ‘I’d tell you if I’d dated Kate Moss!’ I’ve literally met her once in my life, but if you Googled me right now, it would probably say I dated her.”

Johnson added her own two cents on the situation. Addressing reports she and Dornan cannot stand each other or that they’re having an affair, she quipped to Vogue: “We hate each other and we’re having an affair, so everybody’s right. How about that?”

More seriously, Johnson expressed her appreciation for Dornan in the magazine’s February issue. “Jamie and I worked so incredibly closely for so long. There were no inhibitions, and it was very honest, very trusting. But I mean, what a gamble! What if he had turned out to be a total dick?”

“Fifty Shades Darker” will continue Christian and Ana’s love story when it releases in theaters on Feb. 10. Last fans saw on-screen, the BDSM-practicing couple had split. The final installment in the franchise, “Fifty Shades Freed,” premieres in 2018.
