“Final Fantasy 7 Remake” is one of the most anticipated games in history. Although the game developers have recently wowed players and excited people alike with a teaser trailer shown fairly recently, a new leak is going to excite more people even more.

Gamerant reported that a major leak revealing possible details about the game’s characters, gameplay and many other things has been released by a Reddit user claiming to be from Square Enix’s publishing and localization branch in El Segundo, California.

Although the original Reddit post has been deleted, some eagle-eyed Redditors spotted the “leak” and shared it for the entire gaming world to see. Of course, the leak isn’t confirmed at the moment, but if it does prove true, then it appears that “Final Fantasy 7 Remake” will be worth the wait.

This article contains spoilers about some major parts of the game. Those who have played the original might know them already. Those who don’t want spoilers are advised to read another “Final Fantasy 7 Remake” article instead.

Here’s what the leak has to say about the game’s characters:

Tifa Lockhart

Her face is quite similar to how she looked in “Advent Children,” but her costume is “true to the original outfit.” The materia she equips on her gloves will be visible.

Cait Sith

His name is now pronounced “Ket”Sith. He also has a “more close up” fighting style now, and "does have his bars for a Limit Break."

Yuffie, Vincent

Players will no longer be able to skip on getting these two fan favorite characters. Yuffie, for example, will join the party if a player fails to get her before Rocket Town.

Red XIII

Players will have to fight clones of this red lion/wolf-like beast in Shinra HQ before they can get him to join their party.

Cid Highwind

Cid is obviously a smoker in the game, but he does not appear to be smoking. His anger towards Shera is also toned down.

Sephiroth

Not much will be shown about the one-winged angel until the Kalm flashback. He will only be seen via glimpses or heard during periods where Cloud breaks down.

Cloud Strife

Players of the classic 1997 game will be happy to know that Cloud will don “a dress and wig in one particular scene. But its fade to black getting in/out of it.”

Aerith Gainsboroug

She dies, period. The game will come in two parts, and the first one will end as she is let down into the water.

With all the leaks and teasers, all that's left now is the actual release date. Stay tuned for future updates as they come.
