‘Final Fantasy VII’ And ‘FFVII Remake’ 2-LP Vinyl Now Cheaper

“Final Fantasy VII” fans who haven’t preordered the limited edition 2-LP vinyl set that features the original and remade game’s soundtrack can still preorder them -- for a discounted price.

Amazon has lowered the selling price of the “Final Fantasy VII” and “Final Fantasy VII Remake” 2-LP Vinyl set from $79.98 to $69.99. Those who preordered the set before the price was slashed need not worry as Amazon will lower the price for them as well, in addition to applying any other discounts before the vinyl set is released next year.

What’s in the set?

The limited edition 2-LP vinyl set includes highlights from the PlayStation classic as well as some tracks for the upcoming Remake. It features music created by legendary “Final Fantasy” sountrack maker Nobuo Uematsu, and will immerse players in the music they loved from the classic and will come to love in the Remake.

The vinyl set is likely to include the atmospheric opening theme featured in both the classic title and the trailers for the Remake. It might also include Sephiroth’s dreadful background music.

ComicBook noted that the 2-LP vinyl set is a limited item and won’t be in production forever; only a few sets will be made before supplies run out. Those who want to get it should preorder it as quickly as possible.

The gorgeous 2-LP vinyl set doesn’t just include memorable music from one of of the most celebrated RPGs of all time. The two discs also show how Cloud Strife’s appearance has changed from the 1997 original to the 2020 Remake: his chunky and spiky-haired look in the PlayStation classic to the more detailed and still spiky-haired look in the upcoming Remake.

The “Final Fantasy VII” and “Final Fantasy VII Remake” 2-LP Vinyl Set will be released on Jan. 31, 2020 --exactly 23 years since the original title was released.
