The Flash
Barry (Grant Gustin, left) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) will be up against Plastique (Kelly Frye) in episode 5 of "The Flash." The CW

In episode 4 of “The Flash” on the CW, Barry (Grant Gustin) got some help from “Arrow’s” Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) in stopping Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller). But in episode 5, “Plastique,” instead of help, Barry will have some competition. Fans, though, will have to wait until Nov. 11 for the episode as the “The Flash” is taking a break next week.

According to the synopsis, the next foe that Barry and the S.T.A.R. Labs team must face will be Plastique (Kelly Frye), a meta-human woman who can make things explode just by touching them. But when an explosion occurs downtown, the army swoops in and takes the case away from Joe (Jesse Martin) and the police, making things difficult for Barry. Plastique, it turns out, was a soldier who was experimented on to create a super soldier and now the army wants her (and her powers) back. This might be Barry’s toughest case yet.

The synopsis also reveals that Iris (Candice Patton) will make things complicated for Barry when she starts digging too far into the Flash for her blog. When Barry is unable to persuade her to stop investigating he will decide his only option is to pay her a visit – as the Flash.

What will happen when Barry visits Iris as the Flash? Will his best friend recognize the superhero? Plus, how will Joe and Barry stop Plastique with the military getting involved? It will be an action-packed episode when “The Flash” returns. “The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on the CW, and episode 5 will air on Nov. 11.
