Former child actor Matthew Mindler, 20, famous for his roles in "Frequency" and "Our Idiot Brother," has been reported missing from his college in Pennsylvania.

Mindler, a freshman at Millersville University, was reported missing to university police on Thursday after he had not been in his room or returned phone calls from his family since Tuesday.

"Police are asking for help in finding 20-year-old Matthew Mindler, a first-year student from Hellertown, PA, who has been missing since Tuesday evening Aug. 24," the university said in a statement on social media.

Millersville University added that Mindler last attended classes on Tuesday. He was last seen walking from his residence hall to the school’s parking lot area at 8:11pm Tuesday night. He was wearing a white university hooded sweatshirt, a black backpack, jeans and white sneakers.

The University Police filed a missing adult report with the National Crime Information Center on Friday and have notified local police departments, the university said.

“If anyone has any information on Matthew Mindler’s whereabouts, they are asked to contact Millersville University Police at 717-871-4357 or chief Pete Anders at peter.anders@millersville.edu or at 717-871-5972,” they said. “Information can also be confidentially reported through the Millersville LiveSafe Safety App.”
