On Tuesday, former "Good Morning America" hosts Joan Lunden and Charlie Gibson reunited to reflect on their time at the morning news show and to give fans an update on what has recently been going on in their lives.

Leading up to Gibon's appearance, the "Why Did I Come Into This Room?" author teased the discussion on her social media platforms. In a Facebook post, which can be seen below, the one-time anchor called her former colleague one of her "favorite superheroes" prior to their appearances.

That previous sentiment was furthered while waiting to speak to Gibson directly during Tuesday's Facebook livestream. While greeting fans from around the world, Lunden said that she believed the former "World News with Charles Gibson" host's superpowers included the ability "to bring out another person's story and to make another person feel comfortable," which, she said, was what it takes to do a show like "Good Morning America."

After sharing poignant pictures and reminiscing about her time on the program, she formerly introduced Gibson before connecting with him over FaceTime as the two began discussing the time they shared on the show.

In the beginning of the conversation, Lunden revealed that the two of them shared a playful relationship while working together on "GMA," even at times asking cameramen to take a shot of his mismatched socks if he wore one that was blue and one that was brown.

"We worked together for 11 years, I think, or 12, and I did that one day and you keep bringing it up," he jokingly replied.

Later, the two discussed the privilege of being able to appear on the morning news show over the years. "We were so lucky to have that broadcast and to be able to talk to the country for two hours every single day. I always tell people I think it was the best-named broadcast in the history of television," Gibson said, adding, "To be able to say, 'Good morning, America' each morning, what a privilege that was. What a privilege."

Over the course of the hour, the two friends discussed their first days on "GMA," the overall goal they had for each broadcast, and a wide variety of other topics. Lunden and Gibson's full conversation can be seen below.
