Terrence Jones' NBA career might not be one for the books, but he is now having his career-best playing overseas. The troubled NBA forward bounced in a lot of NBA teams since the Rockets drafted him in the 2012 NBA Draft.

He played for the Rockets, the Pelicans, and the Bucks and had some notable highlights, including his career-high in points against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He has also suited up for various G-League teams including the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the Santa Cruz Warriors and the Erie BayHawks.

He also had a stint as a member of the Qingdao DoubleStar Eagles for the Chinese Basketball Association in 2017. Sadly, concerns outside of the court have always been Jones' issues. Despite averaging 22.3 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.3 blocks per game for the CBA team, he was released due to a confrontation with the head coach.

For a guy that had his career-best against LeBron James (36 points, 11 rebounds, two blocks, 2 steals one assist) the sky would have been the limit for the 27-year-old pro. But Terrence has found new life as a member of the TNT Katropa of the Philippine basketball league. In the Philippines, he's known as an aggressive basketball player that is set to win.

In May 2019, Jones signed an undisclosed deal to play for the Talk and Text franchise of the Philippine Basketball Association. In his debut, the former 18th overall pick recorded a remarkable 41 point production with 14 rebounds and four assists against the NLEX Road Warriors.

On his next game, the Portland, Oregon native tallied 43 points, 22 rebounds, five assists, three steals and five threes in a victory over Alaska. He went to tear in the PBA's commissioner's cup averaging 33.7 ppg, 16.9 rebounds, 7.7 assists, 1.45 steals, and 3.09 blocks.

However, he did figure out in an on-court altercation with Calvin Abueva who initiated the fight with a baseline clothesline. Despite the minor setback, Jones led the TNT team to the Commissioners Cup finals against league favorites San Miguel Beermen.

Yesterday, the team, led by Jones defeated the Beermen in their first game. He scored a total of 41 points and almost had a triple-double with 12 rebounds, eight assists, and three blocks. By definition playing for the Philippine league might have given him the confidence to dominate and enjoy the game.

By accounts, this is the Terrence Jones that NBA scouts saw when he was with the Kentucky Wildcats. He did have short return to the NBA with the team that drafted him with ten-day contracts that started in February. But things are looking great for Jones as he tries to make a successful NBA comeback.

The Rockets are reportedly interested in signing him for the veteran's minimum next season. Playing abroad certainly gave him a chance to enjoy Basketball like he was meant to for all these years.
