Nike (NKE) is bringing the Halloween horror flick “A Nightmare on Elm Street” to its sneaker collection with a new line of shoes that are inspired by the film’s serial killer – Freddy Krueger.

With a release date slated for October, iHeartMedia’s 98Rock reported, the Nike Air Max 95 sneakers embody Kreuger’s slasher sweater with marks of grey suede and brown canvas with red slasher stripes. The sneakers are also decorated with metallic silver overlays that are a take on Krueger’s razor glove.

The sneakers will feature the iconic red Nike swoosh and red Nike heel caps along with black and gray checkered tongue. Blood splatters can also be seen on the backs of the shoes.

In response to the upcoming release, images of the new Nike Air Max 95 sneakers have started circulating on Twitter, showing the Krueger-inspired look that is set to be introduced in a full Halloween collection. Social media users are also circulating photos of black Nike Air Max 95 sneakers in black with orange swooshes and other orange detailing.

“A Nightmare on Elm Street” is a Wes Craven classic that has garnered a cult following with nine movies in the series, with the first hitting the screen in 1984. Freddy Kreuger, the main villain in the horror movies, “seeks revenge by invading the dreams of teenagers, whose parents were responsible for his untimely death,” IMDb said about the first film.

Several more movies in the series followed, with one even pitting Kreuger against another horror movie killer – the famed Jason from the “Friday the 13th” film franchise.

Shares of Nike were trading at $115.26 as of 10:58 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, up $2.54 or 2.25%.
