UPDATE 5:39 p.m. EDT: McConnell's husband and suspect in the shooting, Trenard McConnell, was found dead next to a pond an Atlanta cemetery after authorities located his vehicle, according to WSB-TV. April McConnell filed for divorce against her husband on Monday. There was no order of protection issued. Trenard McConnell was believed to have shot himself, although no weapon has been located.

UPDATE 1:50 p.m. EDT: McConnell's husband is a suspect in the shooting, WSB-TV's Ryan Young, reports.

UPDATE 1:48 p.m. EDT: McConnell and another woman were in a car when both of them were shot, WSB-TV is reporting.

UPDATE 1:37 p.m. EDT: April McConnell has been identified as the Fulton County assistant district attorney who was shot, according to Atlanta NBC-affiliate WXIA. The station said the shooting occurred around 11:40 a.m. local time in southwest Atlanta.

UPDATE 1:13 p.m. EDT: WSB-TV identified the assistant district attorney as a female. The Atlanta station said that the shooting didn't occur in a courthouse. There's no indication that the shooting was related to her job.
