After months of reruns, “General Hospital” fans will finally be able to watch new episodes. The ABC soap opera is set to return on Monday after shutting down production in March amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Last viewers saw of the Port Charles residents, Michael (Chad Duell) was in the middle of a custody battle with Nelle (Chloe Lanier) over Wiley (Erik and Theo Olson). When viewers tune into the daytime series, they can expect to get some answers.

“Nelle is shaken,” the synopsis teases. Nina (Cynthia Watros) was set to take the stand at the trial to testify on Nelle’s behalf, but it appears she may deviate from the plan.

“Jax (Ingo Rademacher) is impressed with Nina’s strength,” the synopsis says. Whatever Nina says about Nelle will result in her earning further admiration from Jax.

Prior to her testimony, Nina doubted whether she was any better than Nelle because of the terrible decisions she made in the past. However, Jax reassured her that she was nothing like Nelle.

Will Nina’s testimony cause the court to rule against Nelle and grant Micheal full custody of Wiley?

Nelle won’t be the only person facing an unexpected obstacle. “Ned (Wally Kurth) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) clash,” the “GH” synopsis states.

Oliva has been struggling with the fact that she hasn’t been able to contact Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), and Ned hasn’t been able to make her feel any better. Will the couple clash over the person who is able to comfort Olivia?

“General Hospital” airs weekdays at 3 p.m. EDT on ABC.
