  • MiHoYo announced some details about "Genshin Impact" Update 1.5
  • This includes the version's title and release date
  • The game's update trailer also showcases Serinitea Post System

"Genshin Impact" 1.5 is scheduled to launch various new things to the hit gacha game, including the heavily anticipated Housing System, called the Serenitea Pot. While the new feature will not be available until Update 1.5 arrives, it will not be complete yet. Players will get their in-game characters stationed in the Serinitea Pot in Update 1.6.

Chinese gaming studio miHoYo earlier previewed the changes coming in the next major update of "Genshin Impact." The incoming version is titled "Beneath the Light of Jadeite" and is set to arrive on April 28. The update's trailer offers a quick glance at the new Serenitea Pot system, but it wasn't enough to answer all the players'' questions.

To address these concerns, miHoYo used the Hoyolab community site. In the Developer's Discussion released on April 17, miHoYo answered some of the frequently asked questions it received about the new housing system.

Based on the developer's explanation, "Genshin Impact" players can harvest items from the game world to craft Furnishing items. Players could use these items to decorate the interior of their in-game house. For instance, ore mined from clusters and wood gathered from cutting down trees could be used to craft these Furnishings.

Materials and other Furnishings unlock when players increase their Teapot Spirit Trust Rank. They could also obtain these essential materials through the Teapot Traveling Salesman or in shops like the Realm Depot. There is also a vendor called the Realm Treasures that offer new items as well as a new kind of Resin, which value degrades over time.

The Teapot Traveling Salesman refreshes offerings every week. Interestingly these offerings vary based on the player's Realm. This is miHoYo's way of encouraging players to visit other players' Serinitea Pot to discover items not available in their Realm. However, it appears that trading Furnishings with other players is not yet possible.

"Genshin Impact" Update 1.5 will introduce the new housing system but interaction with options with Furnishings won't be available just yet. Apparently, this is still under development along with the system's gardening component. Unfortunately, the Serinitea Pot system's feature of stationing characters in their own abode will not be possible until the next "Genshin Impact" update.
