KEY POINTS

  • "Genshin Impact" might get a new version before April 2021 ends
  • Version 1.5 is anticipated to introduce a new change applicable to weekly bosses
  • "Genshin Impact" developers reportedly aim to develop content for the next 12 years

"Genshin Impact" version 1.5 could feature a slight change in Resin System following fans' feedback, according to a new report.

A new Q&A with "Genshin Impact" developers revealed the things the team has been working on over the past weeks. One of the major highlights of the discussion is the new change that might happen in the game's Resin System. While devs are silent on when to expect this particular change, fans believe it would launch alongside update 1.5.

According to miHoYo, "Genshin Impact" fans would soon see a much lower Original Resin required to redeem rewards for weekly bosses. Currently, players need 60 Resin to obtain the reward after defeating the wolf boss, Childe, or Stormterror. Unfortunately, developers did not reveal how much Original Resin the weekly boss rewards when the change rolls out.

It appears that this change in the Resin System is only applicable to weekly bosses. The devs did not say that it would also change the amount of Original Resin required for world bosses. In this vein, it is safe to say that world bosses would still require 40 Resin. While the said change is nothing major, "Genshin Impact" players would definitely appreciate this step miHoYo takes concerning the game's Resin System.

Since the game's official launch in September 2020, the Resin System is one of the subjects that players complain about. The gaming studio made several changes to the game's Resin System over the past months. It has increased the max limits of the Original Resin and the Condensed Resin.

In other "Genshin Impact" news, a new leak surfaced online, claiming that miHoyo plans to extend the game's content roadmap to 12 years. Apparently, the success of the gacha game led developers to come to this decision. The information comes from the game's community source Arkywzx and reported by DualShockers.

"Genshin Impact" update 1.5 is just around the corner. The game's next version is expected to roll out on April 28. Until now, miHoYo has not announced the specific release date of update 1.5, so fans should take this information with a pinch of salt.
