“Gossip Girl” alum Penn Badgley will be returning to television very soon!

The actor just booked a lead role in Greg Berlanti’s upcoming Lifetime thriller, “You.” According to TV Line, the psychological thriller is based on Caroline Kepnes’ 2015 novel, wherein Joe (Badgley), a bookstore owner, uses social media and technology to feed his obsession with an aspiring writer. The latter role has not yet been cast.

“You” received a straight to series order from Lifetime earlier this year. Berlanti will be headlining the project, and he is known for his major contributions in The CW’s “The Flash,” “Arrow,” “Supergirl,” “Legends of Tomorrow,” “No Ordinary Family,” “Everwood,” “Political Animals” and more.

Meanwhile, Badgley just made headlines over the weekend for remarrying his wife, Domino Kirke, four months after they sealed the deal in court. The beautiful outdoor ceremony was attended by their friends from the industry, as well as their family members. Kirke’s sister, “Girl” star Jemima Kirke, was also present at her union to Badgley. Other stars spotted at their wedding included Mariska Hargitay, Zac Posen and Debra Messing.

According to US Weekly, Badgley and Kirke have been together since 2014. During their first wedding, Kirke’s other sister, Lola Kirke, shared a sweet photo of herself with her siblings via Instagram. She captioned the photo by sharing details about their wedding attire and ended it with a “we love you” statement for their newlywed sister.

In other news, Badgley was previously in a relationship with his “Gossip Girl” co-star Blake Lively, who is now married to Ryan Reynolds. The couple already has two children. Badgley also dated “Big Little Lies” star Zoe Kravitz.

In 2015, Badgley opened up about Lively and said that she was his best and worst onscreen kiss. While speaking with E! News, he explained, “I’ll say Blake was the best onscreen kiss because we actually had a relationship at that time. And worst? Maybe Blake after we broke up,” he said.

Badgley and Lively were together for three years. They decided to call it quits in 2010. A source told People at the time that it didn’t seem like the estranged couple had any problems before they broke up.
