The Green Bay Packers have not been very active in the 2020 NFL offseason. The reigning NFC North champions didn’t acquire any of the top free agents. Bryan Bulaga, one of the best offensive linemen on the market, signed with the Los Angeles Chargers after spending a decade protecting Aaron Rodgers.

But expectations remain high for Green Bay.

The betting odds suggest it’s more likely than not that the Packers will reach the playoffs. Green Bay is a -138 favorite to earn a postseason berth at FanDuel Sportsbook. The Packers have +114 odds to miss the playoffs.

Green Bay and the Minnesota Vikings both have +165 odds to win the NFC North. The Packers finished three games ahead of the Vikings to win the division in 2019.

The San Francisco 49ers beat Green Bay in the 2020 NFC Championship Game.

The Packers uncharacteristically spent a lot of money in free agency last year. Green Bay improved the defense by adding Adrian Amos, Preston Smith and Za’Darius Smith. Za’Darius Smith made the Pro Bowl with 13.5 sacks, which was the sixth-best in the league.

Linebacker Blake Martinez has led the Packers with more than 140 tackles in three straight seasons. He signed with the New York Giants in free agency.

Tight end Jimmy Graham signed with the Chicago Bears. Wide receiver Geronimo Allison is headed to the Detroit Lions.

Rodgers returns to Green Bay after his eighth Pro Bowl season. Wide Receiver Davante Adams and left tackle David Bakhtiari also made the Pro Bowl.

Green Bay has added receiver Devin Funchess and right tackle Rick Wagner in free agency. Funches had 44 catches for 549 yards in 2018 before suffering a season-ending injury in Week 1 last season.

Free-agent linebacker Christian Kirksey replaces Martinez. Injuries limited Kirksey to nine total games from 2018-2019. He totaled 286 tackles from 2016-2017.
