They say a picture is worth a thousand words but in the case of Martin Henderson’s behind-the-scenes “Grey’s Anatomy” photo, his image is worth a thousand theories!

While filming Season 13, episode 1 of the hit medical series, the New Zealand hunk shared a photo from the set. “Holding up rehearsals and frustrating our director @therealdebbieallen and @ellenpompeo #greysanatomy,” the actor, who portrays Dr. Nathan Riggs on the long-running ABC series, captioned the photo.

In the image, fans can see Henderson snapping a selfie from what looks like the inside of Meredith’s (Pompeo) home. While the blue-eyed actor smiles for the photo, Debbie Allen appears quite annoyed as she throws her hands up in the background. But it’s not Allen’s hilarious response to Henderson’s picture that has us scratching our heads — it’s that Henderson is snapping a photo in a peculiar place.

It was revealed during the Season 12 finale “Grey’s Anatomy” that Maggie (Kelly McCreary) had a crush on Riggs. And although she thought the feeling was mutual, it was unveiled to audiences that Riggs had caught feelings for Ellis Grey’s (Kate Burton) other daughter: Meredith. So, you can see why Riggs’ surprise visit to Meredith’s may cause trouble for the sisters (who live in the same house).

“I think she’s going to be crushed. Genuinely crushed,” McCreary shared her Season 13 predictions with TVLine in May. The actress added that the closeness she had with her sister “has to be destroyed” when Meredith finally comes clean about her romance with Riggs. And it looks like Meredith may unveil her backseat relationship with the hunky doc sooner than we thought — or so Henderson’s picture teases.

How do you think this tricky love triangle will play out? Sound off with your theories in the comments section below. “Grey’s Anatomy” will return with its Season 13 premiere on Thursday, Sept. 22, on ABC.
