“Grey’s Anatomy” Season 13 Spoilers
Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) rushed into the marriage but will they rush the growth of their family when “Grey’s Anatomy” returns? ABC

Owen and Amelia might have rushed into their marriage during the Season 12 finale of “Grey’s Anatomy” but will the Grey Sloan Memorial couple enter parenthood with haste too?

That’s the question fans had when actress Caterina Scorsone announced she was pregnant at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour. The glowing star proudly showed off her growing belly while strutting her stuff on the red carpet Thursday night.

So, will the writers of the medical drama write Scorsone’s pregnancy into the Season 13 storyline? Well, the Canadian beauty dished to Entertainment Weekly that doesn’t think fans should anticipate Owelia’s family of two to grow just yet. “I think they don’t want to burn through all that story,” Scorsone said, adding that the crew is going to have a fun time trying to hid her baby bump. “Super camera work and super wardrobe time.”

Scorsone told People magazine that the reason why the director of photography will have to do some “very fancy footwork” while filming Season 13 of the medical drama is because the forthcoming storyline is picking up right where it left off: with Amelia (Scorsone) and Owen (Kevin McKidd) as newlyweds and not expecting parents!

The actress continued to share that the “rapidity with which they got married” is going to be explored this fall as the two try to figure out how to be husband and wife. “That’s a big question for anybody, let alone two people who are deeply wounded,” she told the outlet before revealing what she hopes to watch unfold in the upcoming installment. “I hope we get to explore how complicated and messy and sexy marriage can be. A lot of time the story ends at ‘I do.’ As a lot of people, that’s the beginning of the story.”

“Grey’s Anatomy” will return with its Season 13 premiere on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
