Singer Harry Styles is finally opening up about the terrifying mugging incident he was involved in while he was walking back to his home in February. The musician also shared some specific details of the ordeal that saw him getting threatened with a knife.

The 26-year-old musician shared minor details about the incident that took place on Valentine’s Day in London. The singer noted that he was walking home from a friend’s house when he saw a group of guys following him. The “Sign Of The Times” hitmaker categorically stated that all the guys had their faces covered when they were following him.

Recalling the horrifying encounter in an interview with Howard Stern on his radio show, Styles said that he felt really weird that the guys were approaching from behind him and trying to catch on him. He said he realized that he was about to get robbed.

“I was walking home from a friend’s house. I am five minutes from home, and I kind of see this group of guys who all got their hoods up and their faces covered and stuff, that is a bit weird. Then I hear the shuffling of feet, trying to catch up to me, so I cross the street, and they cross the street, and they cross the street. I am like for f—k sake I think I am about to get robbed,” Style said.

The “Falling” singer also claimed that the muggers initially tried to sell him “weed,” before telling him to hand over whatever he had with him. He explained that they all just ganged up on him since they wanted to take everything he had on him that day, including his phone. Styles gave all the cash to them but was adamant on not giving his phone.

“I was like, god's sake, it is my phone. So I pull out my phone and I am thinking ok this is really annoying but I will wipe it and get a new phone and kind of, whatever and then the guy is like, unlock your phone,” Styles said.

The acclaimed singer refused to unlock the phone and decided to run away when he saw two cars coming driving past them. He concluded by saying that he was thought of getting into a car, but he then decided to just run to the village where he resides.

“Then I just turned and ran back towards the little village area where I live. I just sprinted and I guess because they had the cash they ended up turning around,” Styles said.

Metropolitan Police, on that day, revealed that the incident happened around 11:50 p.m. An unidentified man, reportedly, approached the English singer-songwriter and threatened him with a knife. Though Styles was unharmed, the robber took some cash from him.
