Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding reception will be held at the Royal Lodge, and it will be hosted by Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.

Royal fans are wondering how the Royal Lodge looks like. The venue is located three miles south of Windsor Castle, and it is where Prince Andrew and her daughters currently reside in.

The Royal Lodge was originally built in 1662, but it was heavily remodeled in 1830. Prior to Prince Andrew’s move to his current home, it was the Queen Mother that lived in the Royal Lodge. Queen Elizabeth II’s mom stayed there until she passed away in 2002.

In 2004, the property was once again refurbished before Prince Andrew moved into it. The Royal Lodge also houses a gothic saloon that boasts of a nature-inspired design, green painted walls, and a lighter green ceiling.

A source told Vanity Fair that Prince Andrew and Ferguson will set up a marquee in the grounds so that the guests can enjoy some dancing on the night of Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank’s wedding.

In related news, the Royal Lodge is not open to the public so glimpses of its interiors have been rare. Several years ago, Princess Margaret posed for photos inside the property with Antony Armstrong-Jones. The black and white snap featured a huge mirror inside the Royal Lodge before it was renovated.

Two years ago, Princess Eugenie also posed for a photograph to show the inside of her home. In the picture, the 28-year-old princess is sitting in the grand room that is filled with antique furniture and chandeliers.

In the background of the image, the formal sitting room is seen opening out into another smaller living room. Inside the second room are several photographs with photos of Prince Andrew and his children.

Harper’s Bazaar described the presence of the family photo as the definition of comfy and cozy.

As of late, it is believed that Ferguson is still residing at the Royal Lodge even though she and Prince Andrew divorced a long time ago. The ex-couple have maintained an amicable relationship with each other, and they are also both involved in Princess Eugenie’s wedding.
