Now that Noah Bennet (Jack Coleman) and Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) have traveled back to June 13, 2014, we can expect to get some answers about what happened to Claire Bennet (Hayden Panettiere) on NBC's “Heroes Reborn.” Claire was supposedly killed on June 13 following a terrorist attack on a Renautas summit in Odessa, Texas. However, fans can't seem to wrap their minds around the idea that the indestructible girl is dead. Is it possible Panettiere will show up before the show ends?

Claire was one of the most popular characters on the original "Heroes." Claire could basically heal herself no matter how severe of an injury she would suffer, as she had the ability to regenerate any tissue in her body. In the final episode of "Heroes" it was Claire who revealed to the world that there were people out there with extraordinary abilities when she jumped off the top of a ferris wheel. When she hit the ground, she got right back up and healed in front of dozens of TV cameras.

Bennet, who is Claire's adopted father, did not approve of her showing off her power to the world and "Heroes Reborn" began with him trying to make amends with her. However, the explosion from the terrorist attack prevented him from finding her. Believing she died in the explosion, Bennet has been searching for answers as to what happened to her. He learned that Molly Walker (Francesca Eastwood) was there and watched Claire die, but she didn't say how. He also questioned Erica (Rya Kihlstedt) about Claire in episode 6, but she claimed to have nothing to do with his daughter's death.

In the promo video for episode 7, the storyline of Claire was brought up several times. Hiro tells Noah that it's his turn to save the cheerleader, which was Hiro's job in the original “Heroes” series. Angela Petrelli (Cristine Rose), Claire's grandmother, was shown answering a cell phone call from Claire before the video came to a close. However, will it really be Claire on the phone? And if it is, will it really be Panettiere as the voice?

Earlier this season, it was revealed in documents Bennet and Quentin found from the June 13 summit that Claire wasn't even in attendance that day. So if Noah is looking for her at the summit it's likely she won't be there, or were the documents wrong? The promo video for episode 7 shows Hiro and Noah looking down at a medical table with a sheet over a body and blonde hair sticking out underneath it.

Panettiere, who has been busy with her ABC show "Nashville," said she wasn't asked back to the show by NBC in an interview with Cosmopolitan in 2014. "It's a little bit of an interesting feeling because you go, 'That was our show, our home, our family,' something that we had a major part in creating as well, and, I mean, I hope that they don't have somebody else playing our characters, that would be a little dagger in the heart. But, you never know. I wish them success in it, for sure."

Is Panettiere telling the truth or could it be a red herring? While it seems like there could be a possibility for at least a cameo, the 26-year-old actress has had to deal with things in her personal life. Recently, Panettiere checked herself into treatment for postpartum depression, Us Weekly reported. She had a baby girl, Kaya, in December 2014 with her fiancé Wladimir Klitschko.

When episode 7, "June 13 - Part 1," airs Thursday night, will it finally be revealed how Claire died or is she actually alive? Will Panettiere appear on the show to resume her role as the cheerleader? Tune in to “Heroes Reborn” on NBC at 8 p.m. EDT to find out!
