Hilary Duff got slammed online after actress Molly Bernard shared a video of the former's 3-year-old daughter named Banks taking a ride without a car seat.

In the video shared Monday on Instagram, Bernard could be seen sitting in the backseat of the vehicle with Banks, who was secured with a lap belt. Users in the comments section slammed the parents, considering the fact that in California, kids under the age of eight should be kept in a booster seat or car seat.

Duff and her husband, singer Matthew Koma, were in the driver's seat and front seat, according to PageSix.

"Worked a fatality accident involving a 4 year old, no car seat, no booster," a user wrote. "Only lap belt. Broke her neck and lap belt severed organs in belly. There is a reason for these recommendations."

Another user wrote, "Child endangerment. California law requires children in a car seat or a booster depending on age/height and weight."

Many other comments mentioned this was extremely dangerous, and some people jokingly wrote they would never hire Bernard as a babysitter.

However, one of the fans noted this was not a big deal and everyone does the same, adding some Instagram users just wanted to criticize Duff. "Bruh why is everyone acting like this is so HORRIBLE! Everyone does it! You guys just want to hate on Hilary. It’s not your child mind your business," the fan wrote.

Another fan pointed out the baby was in a booster seat, but the video was cropped because of which it was not visible.

This is not the first time Duff has been slammed on social media for her parenting. She posted a now-deleted post featuring her son Luca, 9, naked on Instagram in May 2020, which was slammed by the users. The "Lizzie McGuire" star took to Twitter at that time, and wrote: "Everyone bored af right now I know..but this is actually disgusting..... whoever dreamed this one up and put this garbage into the universe should take a break from their damn phone. Maybe get a hobby."

Duff has not commented on the recent video yet. On the work front, Duff will be next seen in a TV series, "How I Met Your Father," which is currently under post-production.
