  • Pogba's agent has hit back at Solskjaer's for his latest comments in media
  • Raiola has released a long statement on social media
  • Man Utd, without Pogba, are currently placed seventh in the points table

The altercation between Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola seems not to be ending any time soon.

After Solskjaer took a dig at Raiola that Pogba was not Raiola’s property, the soccer agent has hit back with a long statement where he said Pogba was not a “prisoner.”

Solskjaer’s recent comments irked Raiola, who then tweeted, "Pogba is not mine and for sure not Solskjaer’s property. Paul is Paul Pogba’s.”

“You cannot own a human being already for a long time in the UK or anywhere else. I hope Solskjaer doesn’t want to suggest that Paul is his prisoner. But before Solskjaer makes comments about things I say, he should inform himself better about the content of what has been said."

"I am a free citizen who can think and express my thoughts. Until now I was maybe too nice to him. Solskjaer should just remember things that he said in summer to Paul. I think Solskjaer may be frustrated for different reasons and is mixing up some issues. I think Solskjaer has other things to worry about. At least, if I was him, I would,” Raiola wrote in his statement.

The Pogba saga began when Raiola revealed to media his discussion with Juventus sporting director Pavel Nedved in regards to Pogba’s possible return to the Serie A champions. Before re-joining Man Utd in the summer of 2016, Pogba was a part of the Italian giants. Raiola also added that if Man Utd failed to qualify for next season’s Champions League, Pogba will choose to leave the Old Trafford side.

Raiola’s comments led to several questions thrown at Solskjaer about Pogba’s Man Utd future. An angry Solskjaer, later on, responded to Raiola’s comments with some harsh words. “I've not spoken to Mino that is for sure. And, no, I haven't sat down and told Paul to tell Mino what he should say. Paul is our player and not Mino's,” the Norwegian said in an interview.

Pogba has not played for Man Utd since suffering an injury during their Boxing Day fixture. In fact, the Frenchman has played only twice since September 2019.

Man Utd defeated Chelsea 2-0 in the Premier League on Monday and climbed to No. 7 in the points table.
