Princess Diana confronted Camilla Parker Bowles about her affair with Prince Charles at one point.

In the archive recordings shared by the National Geographic, Princess Diana opened up about how she confronted Camilla about her and the Prince of Wales' affair. It was not easy for the People's Princess, but she gathered her courage and spoke up to her husband's mistress because her rights as a wife urged her to do so.

According to Prince William and Prince Harry's mom at that time everyone was upstairs aside from Prince Charles and Camilla. She was advised by a friend to keep her head down, but the late Princess of Wales insisted that she had to find her husband.

"I have to go and find my husband," Princess Diana said (via Express). "I go downstairs and there is a happy little threesome going on. Camilla, Charles and some other man who I don’t really know, chatting away."

"So I thought, 'Right, this is your moment,'" Princess Diana continued. "I went and sat down and joined the conversation, as though we were best friends. And I said 'Camilla, I'd love to have a word with you, if possible.' And she got really uncomfortable and put her head down, and said 'oh yes, fine.'"

According to Princess Diana, she was terrified of Camilla, but nevertheless, she still spoke up. "Camilla, I’d just like you to know that I know exactly what is going on," she told the Duchess of Cornwall.

"And she said, 'I don't know what you are talking about,'" Princess Diana recalled. "And I said, 'I know what is going on between you and Charles…and I just want you to know that.' I wasn't born yesterday."

Camilla reportedly responded that Princess Diana already had everything she wanted. "You've got all the men in the world to fall in love with you and you've got two beautiful children. What more do you want?" Camilla asked. The princess responded: "I want my husband."

Prince Charles confirmed that he had an affair with Camilla while he was still married to Princess Diana. According to Andrew Morton in his book "Diana: Her True Story," Princess Diana attempted suicide five times due to marital problems.

Princess Diana's former royal butler, Paul Burrell, also confessed that she suspected Prince Charles of plotting an automobile accident to kill her and marry Camilla. The Princess of Wales reportedly told him about it months before the car crash happened that got Princess Diana killed.
