LeBron James has reportedly started reaching out to potential prospects such as Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler. As James try to recuperate the team, reuniting with former teammate Kyrie Irving is not impossible as well.

After all the drama surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason, LeBron has reportedly decided to continue his search for players who can significantly be of help to the team. Last Thursday, Brian Windhorst made an appearance on ESPN's "Pardon the Interruption" and dropped the news that James has already started recruiting upcoming free agents Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler.

In addition to contacting Leonard and Butler, Windhorst also opened a door that has been closed for quite some time, the possibility that former teammates and NBA champions Kyrie Irving and LeBron James may reunite once again in LA since both of them did not have a successful season after parting ways with each other, CBS Sports reported.

Between Leonard, Butler and Irving, Butler is the one to most likely to end up with the Lakers if some things will be certain. According to Arash Markazi of The Los Angeles Times, Butler just recently expressed an interest in playing for the Lakers and was reportedly willing to sign immediately should the team offer him a max deal, according to Lakers Nation.

Lakers Nation also stressed the point that if the Philadelphia 76ers put Tobias Harris on top of Butler in terms of priority, it would really result to Butler accepting offers from various teams.

The Lakers have enough salary cap room to add one max free agent this summer and have enough young pieces, including this year's no. 4 overall draft pick, to presumably swing a deal for another marquee player -- whether that be Anthony Davis or a more secondary star like Bradley Beal.

Holding on to a good no. 4 overall draft pick this year, the Lakers can leverage multiple trades or if not, one way or another they can surely close some great deals this offseason. Another positive thing about the Lakers at the moment is the sufficient salary cap space they have which can allow them to make a great offer to big names such as Butler, Leonard, Davis or Beal.

With James' persistence and persuading power, the Lakers are expected to land a new star player to help them get back into a playoff team form once again.
