Kate Middleton caused a stir at Meghan Markle’s son Archie’s baptism.

Last Saturday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex held their baby’s christening. Many were looking forward to the details of the event, but the couple opted to keep it private.

They released two official photos which showed that Prince William and Middleton were present at the celebration. However, Middleton stole Markle and baby Archie’s thunder because more are talking about her than the mother and son.

According to TV host Belinda Russell, many noticed Middleton because of her dress. She didn’t deny that the Duchess of Cambridge’s wardrobe caused a stir. “Kate’s dress, that caused a bit of a stir, or plenty of attention anyway,” Russell said on NineNews Australia’s “The Royal Insiders.

“It was a Stella McCartney dress, yes it was a little shorter than we have seen her in recently. But we used to see her in those dresses before,” royal author Juliet Rieded added.

When asked if Middleton’s wardrobe broke any royal tradition for christening, Rieden said she doesn’t think so.

“Everyone talks a lot about these protocols, there is no big black book of protocol, I promise you. There is no such thing as the big book of protocol,” she explained.

According to an insider, the Duchess of Cambridge felt that she was in a “bit of a style rut” and had to make changes in her wardrobe. Middleton reportedly wanted to look younger and more modern, so she made a conscious effort in looking amazing in her outfits and it worked because lately she received tons of compliments for her dresses.

During Archie’s christening, body language expert Traci Brown said that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were showing signs of stress because they looked so stiff.

Prince William and Middleton were not leaning to each other or to the other members of the family. Brown said that it’s either there’s tension between the couple or them with the other members of the Firm.

Many also criticized Prince William’s “sour” and “unhappy” facial expression. According to the netizens, the second-in-line to the throne was being rude and disrespectful because it appeared as if he didn’t want to be there.
