How To Watch The Game Awards 2016 Live Stream On PlayStation, Xbox Live, Facebook Live And Twitter

The Game Awards start at 8:30 p.m. EST on Thursday, Dec. 1, but you won’t be able to watch on television networks. Here’s how you can live stream the Game Awards on PlayStation, Xbox, PC and social media platforms like Facebook, Snapchat, Twitch, Twitter and YouTube.

There are a few different ways you can watch the Game Awards. You might not be able to watch from your cable box, but you can stream on multiple platforms which connect to your TV. Of course, you’ll need to make sure you have an internet connection to watch the Game Awards live stream.

The Game Awards is also broadcasting on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Steam and in Virtual Reality. If you own a VR headset, the Game Awards will be viewable on the NextVR app. You just need to make sure you own a Gear VR headset.

Twitch - This year, Twitch streamers can capture, rebroadcast and layer their own opinions on top of the biggest game award show. All you have to do is set your favorite broadcast software to capture the live stream on twitch.tv/thegameawards, set your “game” to ‘The Game Awards 2016.’

On Twitter, The Game Awards will be the first live award show broadcast on the social media platform, which will allow viewers to watch and comment on gaming’s biggest night. Live Twitter comments on breaking news and results of user polls on Twitter will be integrated into the broadcast.

On Wednesday, YouTube launched 4k live streaming for both 360-degree videos and standard videos. If you want to check it out, make sure to watch the Game Awards on YouTube. The Game Awards start on YouTube Dec. 1 at 9 p.m. EST / 6 p.m. PST. The entire show will be live streamed in 4K resolution.

What Games Are Nominated

The Game of the Year nominees are: Doom, Inside, Overwatch, Titanfall 2 and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

Uncharted 4 received the most nominations out of any game this year, with eight nominations overall. Firewatch, Inside and Overwatch come in second with five nominations each.
