Princess Diana would not be upset about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's exit.

Last month, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they were stepping back as senior members of the royal family. The couple shocked the world and the members of the royal family since they were not informed ahead of the bombshell announcement.

Irish fashion designer Paul Costelloe shared how Princess Diana would have reacted if she were alive. According to him, the late Princess of Wales would not be upset with her second son’s decision and she would be supportive of him.

“She wouldn’t be upset about Harry stepping back,” Costelloe said at London Fashion Week.

“She would say ‘do what you need to do,’ definitely, she was not a royalist at all, she was a person of the people and she put her children first before anything else.”

Costelloe worked with Princess Diana for 15 years from the 1980s to the 1990s. When he looked back at the times when he was still working for the royal, he had nothing but praises for Prince Harry and Prince William’s mom.

“She was lovely to dress and she was a very honest, sincere person. She was family orientated and she had a sense of humor – she liked to smile,” he said.

He also took a trip down memory lane and shared some details about the royal princes growing up. According to him, Prince William was well-behaved. On the other hand, Prince Harry was the “little troublemaker.” He found both so cute.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Markle are in hot water after releasing a statement about the Queen’s decision banning them from using “Sussex Royal” in their brand. The royal couple stated that the Queen has no jurisdiction over “royal” overseas before adding that they have no plans of using “Sussex Royal” as their brand.

Many felt that the two were being disrespectful to the monarch. Prince Harry and Markle’s statement sparked a debate between journalist Afuan Adom and royal biographer Tom Bower. The former questioned the negative headlines about the couple insisting that the critics keep on attacking Markle when it was not just all about her but Markle, Prince Harry and their son Archie.

Prince Charles’ biographer disagreed. According to Bower, the Sussexes are part of the royal family and it will never be about what’s best for them, but for the reigning monarch.
