A 176-pound python was successfully captured by firefighters at a farm in the state of Perak, Malaysia, on Monday.

According to reports, the massive snake was captured by the Fire and Rescue Department after they received an emergency call from the local residents who had spotted the reptile. They believe it had swallowed a goat and a cat.

“It took six firemen to complete the mission,” said Shapri Shaharudin, head of operations. He also added that the python was caught and subdued by the team within an hour using several types of equipment.

The snake was then sent to Malaysia’s Department of Wildlife and National Parks.

In a similar incident, an 18-foot-long python regurgitated a goat after swallowing it alive in Johor, Malaysia, last month. The python had swallowed the goat entirely after sneaking into its pen. The fire department personnel had rushed to the scene after receiving an emergency call and were shocked to see the 18-foot-long snake. Initially, the officers experienced difficulties in capturing it as the equipment used wasn’t compatible enough to hold the huge snake. The python was finally caught almost 25 minutes after it had regurgitated the animal.
