A massive 18-foot-long python swallowed a goat alive before regurgitating it. The incident took place in Johor, Malaysia, on Tuesday.

The Info Kemalangan & Bencana Malaysia, a Facebook group, wrote that the reptile swallowed the goat completely after sneaking into its pen.

“The Head of Operations from the Fire and Rescue Station of Batu Pahat, Senior Fire Marshall 2 Ridwan Gembur informed that his officers had received an emergency call at 9 a.m. local time Tuesday (9 p.m. EDT, Monday) before rushing to the location,” the group wrote.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they were shocked to see the 18-foot-long snake. The reptile had already swallowed the goat by the time they arrived.

“The fire department personnel had trouble catching the snake as the equipment used could not hold the huge snake,” Gembur told local media.

The officers were finally able to capture the snake, almost 25 minutes after it had regurgitated the animal.

The incident comes a month after a 13-foot-long Burmese python regurgitated a goat after swallowing it alive in China's Fujian Province. The owner of the goat started looking for it after the animal went missing. He alerted the forest police after finding a huge snake with a bulging stomach. The owner along with the other villagers held the python by its tail and the reptile regurgitated the animal in front of them. Forest officials arrived at the scene and released the python into the woods.
