Hurricane Sandy wasn’t caused by converging wind patterns or warm air colliding with tropical waters, according to radical right-wing preacher John McTernan. Nope, the storm is clear evidence of God’s wrath on America for tolerating President Barack Obama and homosexuals.

“The holy God of Israel is systematically destroying America right before our eyes,” McTernan wrote on his blog. “The east was not affected by the drought, but now the most powerful hurricane on record is heading directly towards Philadelphia and New York City. It could do catastrophic damage to the entire northeast!”

McTernan seemed confident that his reasoning that the storm is caused by the presidential candidates outweighed the meteorology experts.

“Hurricane Sandy may flood Washington, DC on election day! It is like the hurricane is a huge bucket of vomit in America's face during the election,” McTernan wrote. “What a sign from the holy God of Israel that American politics is an abomination to Him. A pro-homosexual Mormon along with a pro-abortion/homosexual, Muslim Brotherhood promoter, Hard Left Fascist are running for president.

“Both candidates are pro-homosexual and behind the homosexual agenda. America is under political judgment and does not know it,” the preacher wrote.

In another blog post McTernan explained his condemnation of Republican Mitt Romney, who some might think would have been able to avoid God’s justice for trying to keep gay marriage illegal. That assumption would be wrong, though, because Romney “is a big time pro-homosexual supporter to the point he will keep open homosexuality in the military; he wants homosexuals in the Boy Scouts; and he wants more open homosexuals in the Republican Party.”

The Weather Underground meteorology experts published no evidence that the hurricane was the fault of gay people, or Obama’s alleged devotion to the Muslim Brotherhood. After a complicated math scenario involving President George H.W. Bush and the Arab-Israeli peace conference of 1991, McTernan discussed the effect the president’s involvement with terrorists has had.

“It appears that God gave America 21 years to repent of interfering with His prophetic plan for Israel; however, it has gotten worse under all the presidents and especially Obama. Obama is 100 percent behind the Muslim Brotherhood which has vowed to destroy Israel and take Jerusalem.”
