The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) reportedly instructed the Indiana police to pull over Idaho murders suspect Bryan Kohberger and his father while they were traveling home to Pennsylvania from Washington State, where the killings took place.

According to a Fox News law enforcement source, the FBI surveillance team was seeking video images of Kohberger and his hands to build their case before Kohberger's arrest.

The two were pulled over twice in Indiana on Dec. 15, roughly two weeks before Kohberger's arrest in his family home in Albrightsville, Pennsylvania.

Clips of a body camera video from the ISP have been circulating social media.

"At the time of this stop, there was no information available on a suspect for the crime in Idaho, to include identifying information or any specific information related to the license plate state or number of the white Hyundai Elantra which was being reported in the media to have been seen in or around where the crime occurred," the Indiana State police said in a statement, as quoted by ABC News.

Kohberger received verbal warnings in both instances, according to the ISP.

The 28-year-old suspect has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder in connection to the deaths of the University of Idaho students Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20.

He will also be charged with felony burglary concerning the deaths of the four victims, who were stabbed while they were sleeping last Nov. 13.

A recent CNN report said Koberger's flight already arrived at the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport in Idaho on Wednesday, just a day after Kohberger waived his extradition in court.

Authorities have yet to release the suspect's motive. The probable-cause affidavit, containing information regarding Kohberger's arrest, will remain sealed until the suspect appears in court.

The murder suspect was a Ph.D. student in the criminal justice program at Washington State University's Pullman campus.
