An Indian billionaire announced he will be bringing the country’s first 7-Eleven convenience store which is expected to open in Mumbai on Saturday.

Mukesh Ambani, India’s richest man with a net worth of $99.1 billion, announced the partnership through his company Reliance Retail. In his announcement, he added that India’s 7-Eleven will be open 24/7 and feature customized drinks and snacks to reflect the country’s food preferences.

The opening of stores will begin around the Greater Mumbai area and "will be followed by a rapid rollout in key neighborhoods and commercial areas," Reliance Retail said in a statement.

This is Ambani's latest move to expand the retail sector of Reliance Industries so he can better compete with Amazon and Walmart in India’s trillion-dollar retail market, Reuters noted.

On Friday at 3:30 p.m. market close, Reliance’s stocks (RELIANCE.NS) were trading at $2,671.25, up $98.85, or 3.84%.

The opening of the convenience store in India is 7-Eleven’s fourteenth international franchise, adding to its store locations in Australia, China, Denmark, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Norway, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Taiwan and Thailand.
