KEY POINTS

  • The seven-bedroom, 11-bathroom property is located in the exclusive guard-gated Allison Island
  • The mansion comes with a media room, a wine cellar and a movie theater
  • Lil Wayne purchased the property for $16.8 million in 2017

Rapper Lil Wayne has listed his contemporary waterfront home in Miami Beach, Florida, for $29.5 million.

Dubbed a "tropical modern masterpiece," the seven-bedroom, 11-bathroom property sits on just over a half-acre lot in the exclusive guard-gated Allison Island.

If he gets the asking price, the rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., will rake in millions of dollars. Wayne, 40, purchased the 10,600-square-foot mansion for $16.8 million in 2017, according to the New York Post.

Cyril Matz of Douglas Elliman is the listing agent. The Wall Street Journal first reported the listing.

The waterfront property comes with a media room, a wine cellar, a movie theater and 110 feet of water frontage. It also comes with a pool, outdoor dining spaces and a cabana.

The primary suite comes with dual baths, a walk-in closet, a sitting area and floor-to-ceiling windows with a terrace.

While it's unclear why the "A Milli" singer listed the property, some outlets believed it might have something to do with his not-so-good memories in the city.

In November 2020, he was charged in Miami with illegal possession of a gun. Facing a maximum of 10 years in prison, former president Donald Trump pardoned the multi-platinum rapper in 2021 before leaving office.

After getting pardoned, he bought a $15.4 million mansion in Hidden Hills, Los Angeles, last year. The luxury abode, located next door to Kylie Jenner, was constructed in 2019. It comes with seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

Five years ago, Wayne sold his house on nearby La Gorce Island for $10 million, about $1.7 million less than his purchase price a year before, records showed.

The nine-bedroom, three-story, 15,100-square-foot home features a waterfront pool, glass-enclosed elevator, 120 feet of bay frontage and a rooftop skatepark. It sits on a 20,900-square-foot lot.

Wayne, who has sold over 100 million records worldwide and won numerous awards, has reportedly surpassed Elvis Presley for having the most entries on the Billboard Top 100.

His position as one of the best-selling musical artists in history helped him earn millions of dollars. He is the founder of the music label Young Money Entertainment, which signed both Drake and Nicki Minaj when they were still starting their music careers.

He has a net worth of $170 million to date, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
