Bill Russell is considered an NBA legend who played as the center of the Boston Celtics from 1956 to 1969. The basketball superstar recently put his Seattle home on the market.

The NBA superstar has listed the mansion for $2.6 million after living there for nearly 50 years. The former basketball player bought the house after he became the top coach with the Seattle SuperSonics.

The property sits on a third of an acre of land surrounded by trees with a beautiful outdoor view. The interior of the home provides 4,250-square-feet of living space and is equipped with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The real estate’s main level has an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings and the living room features a fireplace and a wall of glass, as per Realtor.

Russell will leave behind his NBA memorabilia to the buyer of his Washington mansion. “I have left behind my trophy case and an autographed ball for the next owner, and I hope they enjoy the home as much as I have over the last almost 50 years,” Russell said in an interview with Business Journal.

Despite selling his longtime home, Russell and his wife, Jeannine, still plan to live in the area. However, he said that he would miss the privacy, peaceful tranquility and gorgeous views of the lake while relaxing in his hot tub, ESPN reported.
