Tom Brady has just confirmed that he is retiring from football after 22 seasons, and fans could not help but wonder about his plans after the big move. But one thing is for sure – the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback will not be returning to Boston.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion and the all-time quarterback is currently building a mansion on a $17 million property located in Miami’s exclusive Indian Creek Island, also known as “billionaire’s bunker,” as per a New York Post report.

Brady, 44 and his wife Gisele Bündchen, 41 purchased the beach property in 2020. They had decided to demolish the structure on the property, which is a five-bedroom, five-bathroom home spanning over 5,700 square feet.

In December 2020, Page Six reported that Brady and his wife were building an environmentally friendly mansion on the beach property.

As per reports, the two were spotted on the island last May, likely discussing plans for their new mansion.

Indian Creek Island is only accessible via a bridge that is manned by a guard with 24-hour security by land, air and sea. Made up of 300 acres, the island is occupied by just 34 estates, each with an average value of $20 million.

Brady and Bündchen’s purchase came a month before selling their Tribeca apartment for $36.8 million.

Real estate is one of Brady’s many businesses. With his wife by his side, the athlete bought and sold 6 luxury properties, spending about $60 million but earning $157.7 million from the resale, said NSS Sports.

The outlet added that the value of every house in which Brady lived often tripled within a few years.

In 2009, Brady and his wife bought an undeveloped plot of land in LA's Brentwood neighborhood for $9 million. They spent an additional $20 million constructing a 14,000 square-foot home on the property, which they ended up living in for less than a year. In May 2014, they sold the property for $50 million.

In 2018, the couple paid $25.5 million for a 12th-floor unit in a New York City building. They sold it in December 2020 for $40 million.
