The International Day of Forests is marked annually on March 21 to celebrate all types of forests and create awareness about the important part they play in every living being's life.

This year's theme for the day is: “Forest restoration: a path to recovery and well-being.”

International Day of Forests was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012. Since then, millions of people across the globe celebrate this day by raising awareness about conserving forests.
