“Jane the Virgin” star Justin Baldoni is blessed with a happy marriage, and he is still so smitten with his wife Emily that he posted about his proposal to her several years ago on Instagram.

In the post, Baldoni said that their marriage is not a fairy tale, but they work hard to make sure that their relationship thrives and develops. He said that he wakes up every day making the decision to love his wife, and she does the same thing for him.

When he proposed to his wife, Baldoni said that she was crying and did not even look at the ring he presented her with. All she did was look him in the eyes and told him, “Such a stupid question,” because her answer was a definite yes.

Baldoni has repeatedly praised his wife Emily on social media, and he also raves about the love he feels for their daughter, Maiya. He earlier wrote an op-ed piece for Zap2It stating that it takes a real man to empower a woman. He said that his views on masculinity drastically changed after his daughter Maiya was born.

“When my daughter was born, I got the chance to witness my wife become a superhero. Moments later I got to stare into the soul of the new love of my life … my daughter, Maiya,” he wrote. “I will never forget that experience — everything that I thought mattered in life suddenly became irrelevant and my whole world shifted. If I was at all interested in the advancement and empowerment of women before my little Maiya came into this world, I was going to turn it up to hyper-speed now.”

He added there is nothing in the world that mattered more for him than seeing his daughter grow up in a world where anything is possible. “I want her to have a support system and be able to know that she can succeed, no matter what society tells her, and that her beauty is far deeper than anything a mirror could reflect,” he said.
