Janelle Monáe used the new Instagram video function to share some exciting news -- the release date for her upcoming album "The Electric Lady."

In the post, the singer writes on a page in a composition book to reveal the Sept. 10 release date of the new project -- and her bright yellow nails are an adorable touch.

Though she included no album details in the quick post, Digital Spy reports the singer has said the LP will include a duet with Prince.

A Miguel duet titled "Primetime" is also expected to be included on the album.

Monáe's debut album, "The ArchAndroid," reached No. 17 on the Billboard 200 chart and earned her two Grammy Award nominations.

The record's first single is "Q.U.E.E.N.," a collaboration with Erykah Badu.
